Hey there! Welcome back to my blog!
This time,I have chosen to write about one of the goals to productivity in life and that is ‘setting up routines’.
We plan different kinds of things in our life -new places to go-to, new foods to try out, new people to meet up with, but I say ,a lot of us should be guilty of NOT planning our daily routines. At the end of the day, our life sums down to what we do ,each day and not what we do once in a blue moon.
Highly successful people, I have observed , are people who are consistent and focussed than people who would do a ton of things at the same time. You and me, should learn to set out long term goals and get the idea at the back of you mind that ‘ __ years from now, I should be doing so and so at so and so’.
Once you realise that you should be moving towards ‘X’, the next step is to take the right steps towards it ,and keep doing it every single day of your life, and then building on it.
For example,if you wish to be scholar ,you can’t become one overnight. You need to sit down and decide in what topic you wish to specialise a then discuss with the right people, join the appropriate courses, take notes, hit libraries for a REALLY long time and then slowly ,you will find yourself transforming into one. This applies to anything you wish to achieve in life.
There has been a lot of study into this topic off lately and the conclusion drawn is that, CONSISTENCY in whatever you are pursuing is the most important factor to success. If you are particularly interested in the topic ,here’s the link to a beautiful article on this subject.
And how could I miss out on the routine ofTHE best of people , Prophet Muhammed (S)? He sets examples in not just matters of worship alone, but in living the life as well. He would wake up early enough , begin his day with prayers to the Almighty, have gatherings with people , allow people to ask questions, visit his closest friends , spend quality time with his family, attend to the needs of people ,have his dinner early , sleep early enough so that he would be up early again for spending the last part of the night in worship. This gave him the balance and blessings in his life to be the most productive and successful person ever to have walked on the face of the Earth.
What I am trying to get to the other end is that don’t lose hope and feel disinterested if you are not able to do something on a daily basis. You just have to figure out your OWN way of having routines. For me personally, a daily planner works! (About which I will tell you in another post on ‘How to make a daily planner’ )
I write down almost everything that I want to accomplish in my planner the day before and then I feel ‘compelled’ to get it DONE.
Routines can vary from one to another. It depends on your passion, the amount of time you have ,the experience you have under your belt and the level of motivation you are at. Don’t compare your life and the things you are doing to anybody else’s. You are doing great but you just have to move FORWARD.
Researches show that it takes about 21 days to form a routine in your life. And after this term, you will find yourself doing it. So, why don’t you just grab a pen ,write down the routines you wish to set in your life and work on it for 21 days, just to cross check if the research was good enough? 😉

DIY Body scrub🍚

‎السّلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته

Hey y’ all!
Welcome back to my blog!
This time I’ve decided to share my DIY body scrub recipe with you. I’ve been using this DIY for about three or four months ,perhaps once a week. I don’t exactly remember where I got this idea from but I guess it was Pinterest inspired:P

Things I used:
Sugar( like about 250 g)
Coconut oil (few drops)
Almond oil (few drops)
2-3 drops of lavender essential oil

Procedure: Just go ahead and mix all of it!👊🏻 Store it in an airtight container and use it once or twice a week during your pamper baths .🛀
Shower with warm water and then scrub in circular motion over the skin and wash it off.

Almond oil has always been a great natural ingredient for glowing skin and as a moisturizer. Essential oils have fantastic properties for good health and skin. You could use any essential oil of your choice. You could even make one at home . I ordered mine on Amazon and still consider it an investment. And not to mention, lavender essential oil,in particular, it helps to restore natural skin complexion ,reduce acne , detoxify and above all, known for its dynamic aroma. me, it leaves your skin smelling so good! And then last but not least ,coconut oil is fully packed with antioxidants which can prevent ageing. Moreover, it hydrates your skin …so no wonder it is called the beauty multi-tasker.

P.S. I do not recommend using this scrub over the face, because the jagged edges of sugar crystals could tear up the delicate skin cells of the face. But it works amazing over the body=)

Do try out this one if you are fond of natural beauty tips =P

Till the next post comes out..👋🏻’bye’

Her Beauty

Beautiful thoughts…💕

Every morning she would look into the mirror, carefully applying make up to her face delicately one stroke of a brush at a time.I must look beautiful, she told herself everyday. She doesn’t think about who she is beautifying herself for or who her beauty will attract. She only knows that she must look beautiful, that is simply what is required of her as a woman.

People who are beautiful get that bit further in life, they seem to accomplish more and have more success. More happiness. More. Isn’t that how the world works?

In this life, in this world. This world where the measure of success is earning money and owning houses. The more and bigger the better, regardless of how it is achieved, regardless of who is trodden on and oppressed along the way. Those details are unimportant, mere collateral.

Real relationships aren’t so important, merely…

A lil’ glass painting for DIY home decor🍸

‎السّلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته
Hey there!
Welcome back..!
Yesterday, as I rummaged through my old pile of things I had ,I came across the pack of glass paints I owned since a long time. It had been a while since I touched any of those. So , today I thought why not do some painting on glassware for a change?=)

So I used the following stuffs:
Glass paints
Paint brush
Glass wares (preferably, unwanted bottles and stuffs)
Cello tape

So here’s the procedure:
Wind the cello tape over the bottle in places you do not want to paint. Paint the other areas. Put the bottles outside to dry. Remove the tapes once the paint is completely dry.
You could use the bottle as a show piece on its own or put some flowers (I picked some fresh flowers) in it. I used the same colours and pattern over both glass wares as I planned to put both of them in the same room. Variety, is a choice you own.

The advantage of this method is that it does not require you to be a good artist or anything of that sort. You could be miserable at painting but still no worries as nothing can go wrong.

Why spend tons of money on home decor when you could turn any random to-the-dustbin stuffs into one?✌🏻

Goodbye 👋🏻

السّلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته

Hey everybody! Welcome back !

When a majority of human population is busy outside buying roses, planning outfits and scheduling dinners for 8’o’clock tomorrow with their ‘valentines’, thanks for stopping by. Because I am going to tell you why you should NOT be doing so.✋🏻
Hold on,let’s first talk about how and why the 14th of February became associated with the Valentine concept. There are two histories explaining the birth of this pagan festival.

1.According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, there were at least three early Christian saints by the name Valentine. One was a priest in Rome, another a bishop in Terni, and the third, St. Valentine which almost nothing is known about, except that he met his end in Africa. Astonishingly, all the three Valentines were said to have been martyred on February 14.

Valentine who was a priest, served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine felt this was unfair so he celebrated marriages in secret. When the emperor found out he was thrown in jail and sentenced to death.

It wasn’t until more than 200 years later that 14 February was proclaimed St Valentine’s Day. By this time Rome had become Christian and the Catholic Church was determined to stamp out any remaining paganism. A pagan fertility ritual was held in February each year and the Pope abolished this festival and proclaimed 14 February Saint Valentine’s Day, thus establishing this feast day on the Catholic Calendar of Saints.

2)From Feb. 13 to 15, the Romans celebrated the feast of Lupercalia. The men sacrificed a goat and a dog, then whipped women with the hides of the animals they had just slain.
Young women would actually line up for the men to hit them, Lenski says. They believed this would make them fertile.
The brutal fete included a matchmaking lottery, in which young men drew the names of women from a jar. The couple would then be, um, coupled up for the duration of the festival — or longer, if the match was right.

So I would argue, more than love, valentine’s day has got to do with martyrdom and violence against women. Bizarre world❗️

And now for the logical part. What sense does it make when a guy asks a girl ‘ WILL U B MY VALENTINE?’ and loves her and takes her out for a date on this singled out day of the year. Oh wait ,wait, tell me, where is love here❓

Now , for the Islamic part, for the muslims around. There is no reason you can justify your part in taking part in this celebration. Here’s what the Permanent Commitee for scholarly research and Ifta says:

The clear-cut evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah, upon which the Salaf (righteous predecessors) of this Ummah (nation based on one creed) unanimously agreed, confirms that there are only *two Eids (festivals) in Islam:* *Eid-ul-Fitr (the Festival of Breaking the Fast) and Eid-ul-Adha (the Festival of the Sacrifice)*. Any other festival, whether peculiar to a person, a group, an event, or any other reason, is an invented festival that is not permissible for Muslims to celebrate, approve of, enjoy, or support in any way, because this is considered to be a transgression of the Limits of Allah. Anyone who transgresses the limits set by Allah has wronged themselves.

If we add to this fabricated festival the fact that it is one of the festivals of the Kafirs(disbelievers) this heaps sin upon sin, because it entails resembling them and is a type of support of them. Allah (may He be Glorified) forbids the Mumins (believers), in His Ever-Glorious Book, from imitating or supporting the Kafirs. It is authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: *Anyone who imitates a people is one of them*. (Abu Dawud, Sunan, Book on clothing, no. 4031; Ahmad, Musnad, vol. 2, p. 50). Valentine’s Day falls under this heading, as it is one of the idolatrous Christian festivals. It is not lawful for a Muslim who believes in Allah and the Last Day to celebrate, approve of, or congratulate people on it; it is forbidden to them. Rather, it is obligatory for them to ignore and avoid it, in obedience to Allah and His Messenger and to keep away from that which will arouse Allah’s Anger and incur Punishment.

*It is also Haram (prohibited) for Muslims to support this festival or any other Haram festival by any means, whether by supplying food or drinks; selling, buying, manufacturing, gift-giving, correspondence, advertising etc., because all this comes under cooperating in sin and transgression and disobeying Allah and His Messenger*. Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) says: Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment. (Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5: 2)

It is obligatory for Muslims to adhere to the Qur’an and Sunnah in all matters, especially in times of Fitnah (trial) when corruption is widespread. They must be sagacious enough and on their guard to avoid falling into the misguidance of those who have earned Allah’s Anger, those who went astray, or the Fasiqs (those flagrantly violating Islamic law) who have no fear of Allah nor have pride in being Muslims. Muslims should resort to Allah, asking for guidance and steadfastness in Islam, as it is Allah Alone Who guides and keeps us steadfast.

Yeah so…that was it. You are more than free to disagree but I hope I have succeeded in getting the point across. Don’t let boys/girls fool you into their lust. Don’t fall prey to fake expressions of love. Know your worth. 💎

Bye. 👋🏻

Think blue!💙

‎السّلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته
Hey folks! Welcome back!
So today ,out of nowhere, I got this ‘painting’ vibe which led me to do the above painting. It took me about 2 hours to get it done. So let me tell you a little bit about how it was done.
I am deeply passionate about art and that’s the sole reason I tell you all this- though I might pretend and try to sound like a professional =P

Things I used:

canvas of 12*16 inches dimension
5 paints( prussian blue, cobalt blue hue, white, black and pearl turquoise blue)
paint brushes
Pencil, water and palette
1. Draw out the outline of image you have on mind with a pencil.

2. Paint the entire background with a mixture of  blue and white(like shown below). Leave the space for the picture blank. Do not worry about perfection ,because it’s not about that, rather its about the uniqueness of what you are doing. What you ARE doing, is what NOBODY else is capable of doing .
3. Now focus on the flowers .Make them quite dark. Then go ahead and do the bottom portion like your mind tells you to do. I have dipped round ended brushes in white paint and pasted them all along the top part of black lines like you can make out from the picture.

And ta-daaa! You have your picture ready! I chose to use only blue colour in the picture because it’s one of my favourite colours. Blue colour is so complex and has a ton of shades of its own! There’s no painting that does not use blue colour because the skies ,sea ,water -everything has to be blue!
Go grab some paint brushes ,splash some paint over your canvas and discover the painter in you! Tc👋🏻

10 to-do’s for memorising the Qur’an

السّلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته

Welcome back to my blog with another post on what you should be doing if you are on the road to memorising the Qur’an!
If you have ever wondered how do these amazing Qaris go about and memorise the entire Quran, but have thought to yourself ‘that’s not for me, I can’t do it’ … then this is for you! 👇🏻

‎وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ {40

[54:40] And indeed, We have made the Qur’an easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
How could we say that it is ‘difficult ‘ to study the Quran when the Lord of the Worlds himself promises that He has made it easy!

So here are 10 tips you should definitely try out if u are ready for the challenge:
Every single thing in our religion is based on INTENTIONS and we cannot afford to miss out on the rewards as a result of flawed intentions like seeking the worldly praise. So once this step is concrete, move on!
Set one copy of the Quran for this purpose and be sure to use it throughout ,instead of changing from one to another. People who tried it highly recommend it.👍🏻
Appoint a particular time of the day exclusively for your Quran memorisation. Instead of something like ‘7- 7:30’ ,fix your time as ‘after fajr or magrib, before sleep etc’ so that it is always practical. It could be a mere 10 or 15 minutes , and of course, that does not matter. Moving FORWARD is FORWARD, no matter at what pace.✌🏻
It’s always more interesting and motivating when you are working on something with somebody who has the same interests as you. Find somebody who would serve this purpose, buddy up & push each other to go the extra mile!💕
There’s an amazing list of Qaris you could listen to correct your mistakes and improve your tajweed. Find an app or download the audios of your favourite qari and keep listening to it a ton of times! Here’s a list of qaris you could search for :

Take up small chunks of Quran and memorise before you take up big heaps. You should probably start from the 30th juz’ and get acquainted with it and then ta-da ,you will realize that things have started to get a lot easier!
It’s always recommended to recite the Quran in your best voice possible. That way, you are following a sunnah, plus, it keeps you interested!
It helps so much to reflect and recite when you have atleast some vague idea of what the ayah talks about. Try reading the simplest translation possible of each ayah you memorise.
If you have a daily planner or a book that can also serve as a ‘QuranMemo’ ,track down how many verses of which surah you have memorised each day. This will keep you reminded and motivated to keep going.
It is not you or me who makes thing easy, He controls all things and Praise be to Him. So do your part and seek His aid in the amazing journey you are about to commence!

This, I say, is the easiest part. The real challenge is in ‘retaining’ the Qur’an you have memorised in the years to come. So ,ان شاء الله ,very soon , I’ll share with you tips on how to turn this into long term memory!

Share it, and Follow this blog for more posts!🙌🏻

The never-told how to’s of studying.📚🤓

Aaghh..You know how boring a thing is to STUDY. Like I don’t need to tell you how much.
Have you ever wondered why is that we read a book we love and don’t get bored? Or read a post on a social media but CAN’T just stop reading ?🙂
And why is that my textbooks make me so repellent?
Coz my brain finds it INTERESTING! As simple as that, the more interested you are, the more you enjoy it!
Let me tell you what I find working for me when it comes to studying for something important:
Number 1:
Before getting into things you will need ,let’s talk about things you’ll remove from your study area. Force yourself to focus on the exam you are going to face and say NO to everything else that can hinder your motivation .
Don’t let yourself get distracted searching for the stationaries you will need like your stick notes, highlighters, calculators and so on.
Fill up a bottle of water and keep a bar of chocolate or some nuts at the far corner of your table.
Take a book, and jot down all the questions you are planning to do for the day. This helps you get some idea about what you have got to accomplish and the number of hours it will take. Like the one below👇🏻

You could use use your phone to set a timer of about one hour. And then you take a break( yaaay!) for 15-20 minutes before you continue. This is very important as the human brain cannot concentrate for long hours at one stretch.
Now this, is very versatile. You could be any of this or maybe even different. You could study by
(I ‘ll post the pros and cons of each method in another post-for keeping this post short)
As you finish with each question , don’t forget to tick or cross out that question from your study plan. This boosts your confidence, makes you eager to take up more and finish it off.
Whatever confidence you have should not stop you from thinking, ‘Ah ,I’ll recall everything.’ Even if you are not done with all questions, revise all questions from the beginning in a minimum of 3 hours before exam…because the more times you read, the more you remember.
Now that you have done all you could do, rely on Allah , make lots of Dua’ (ask your closest people to also make Dua’ for you), sit back ,relax ,smile and appear for your exam and give it your full go. Now let Him play the part.

Hope you’ll find these tips useful!☺

Passion v/s obsession❓

‘Passion is a positive obsession. Obsession is a negative passion.’
We often come across words like these in our everyday chit-chats. They have quietly sneaked into our dictionaries so much so that the fine line of difference between the two have begun to blur. But it is the need of the hour that we take a step back, use our loafs and take time to sort out passions before they distort into obsessions and eat us up. Passions need to be discovered in its true form, its boundaries need to be defined, and we need to go an extra mile to make the 100% out of it.
Passion, the dictionary defines as a very strong emotion or great enthusiasm for an activity or something else. More than anything ,it is what we feel or go through when we are engaged in it. For something to qualify as your passion, it should interest you greatly and you should be absolutely enjoying doing it. Passions vary widely. It could range from talking to others about the places you have gone to things like painting, gardening, driving, public speaking etc. Different shades of passions seem to be dormant in us,the only thing missing out is we not being aware of it.
On the flip side of it, lies obsessions, which could even turn deadly. They could be mild ,light or intense obsessions(or you could even call it addictions). Literally speaking, obsessions eat you up, they even occupy your good night dreams. It is what your mind is constantly preoccupied with or something about which you are persistently thinking about. It could be a person who has taken ‘that’ place in your heart or even something as lowly as a game on your tech-device. Obsessions are unhealthy. They make you run out of steam and hope. It is difficult to get over them and they slash all your long term goals and leave nothing in store for you.
To strike a balance between the two is what adds spice to your life. The first step to this is realisation. Sit back, declutter your thoughts, retrospect and filter your passions from your obsessions. Make enough room for passions in your life and invest in them. Like Confucius once said, ” Choose a job you love and you will never have to work again”. Give them your full go. Do not ever say YES to things that hurt you and learn to pull the brake in your life wherever necessary because like my father always tells me ,”Too much of anything is good for nothing.”
